Meet Dr. Kang

Dr. Sung Kang is an endodontist who previously practiced in Boston and Omaha before he recently moved back to New York. He studied biophysics at Johns Hopkins University and received his bachelor’s degree with departmental honors. Dr. Kang attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine for his dental education and received his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery. He later completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) training at Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York. Afterwards, Dr. Kang completed his endodontic specialty residency at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Master of Medical Science (MMSc). He was the winner of the Stanley L. Handelman Fellowship Award at Eastman Institute and the Alvin Krakow Harvard/Forsyth Endowed Endodontic Research Fund Award. Dr. Kang was also voted a “Top Dentist” by both Boston Magazine and Omaha Magazine during his stay in both cities. After practicing many years outside New York, Dr. Kang decided to come back to Upstate New York to make it a permanent home this time. Dr. Kang is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association and the New York Dental Association. During his free time, Dr. Kang loves working out in the gym, taking nature photos and exploring local art museums.
